Research
“Validation of standardized exercise testing for return to play after a concussion”; IRB-approved study, funded in part by a grant from NFL Charities, looking at measurable physiologic variables to document the diagnosis and recovery from a concussion including exercise testing, laboratory evaluation, and MRI imaging.
“Heart rate response to exercise in patients with post-concussion syndrome, cervical spine dysfunction, and recovered controls.”; Retrospective study comparing heart-rate response to different subsets of concussion clinic patients who have undergone exercise treadmill testing.
“Measurement of resident knowledge of concussion diagnosis and management.”; IRB-approved study for assessing resident physician knowledge level about concussions before and after a formal rotation with clinical teaching and directed self-study.
